Author Kameron Hurley has been making the rounds on the blogosphere for her new book, The Mirror Empire. I've not had a chance to read it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Meanwhile, she wrote this excellent post examining the limitations of genre in today's writing world:
In it, she talks about the challenges she faced getting work published that was a mish-mash of several genres. Given my own genre struggles, I found it a valuable and enlightening post.
Actually, pretty much all of Kameron Hurley's blog tour has been great, but this one really hit home for me.
